The ZZ plant, aka Zamioculcas Zamifolia, is a native of Zanzibar and sometimes referred to as Zanzibar gem. It's thick, waxy leaves are dark green and form nice rows along the stems of the plant. This is a purifying plant and is low maintenance, perfect for beginner gardeners.
